Research facilitation and consultation services
Research facilitation & digital technology advising helps to guide you to services that meet your research needs. Personalized recommendations and facilitation is provided at no cost to the researcher. Research facilitation includes:
- Providing effective, consistent, and efficient pathways to research computing and data (RCD) services
- Consulting with researchers and other IT staff to analyze computational, data, and networking resource requirements, make recommendations, assemble technology portfolios, and propose design solutions
- Connecting and partnering with other research computing and data (RCD) service providers
- Advocating on behalf of the research community for resources to meet new and evolving needs
Technical assistance and advising services
Our Systems Integration Engineers (SIEs) offer a limited amount of free project assistance to UC San Diego faculty. Our team maintains expertise across a wide array of technical fields, including commercial cloud, high-performance and high-throughput computing, high-speed networking, cybersecurity, and advanced cyberinfrastructure. Do you need help or support:
- Solving a difficult technical issue involving your research project?
- Integrating advance cyberinfrastructure and/or new technologies into your research workflow?
- Putting together a demo for a funding agency?
- Assembling a proof-of-concept to strengthen your grant proposal?
Campus Champions
The Campus Champions community is comprised of research computing and data professionals who exchange expertise and knowledge about digital research infrastructure.
