To encourage the use of IDI resources, technical expertise is available to researchers to create new workflows or to optimize existing workflows.
An initial consultation will determine the scope of the engagement, which may include support for:
Limited technical support is available to UCSD researchers who are using IDI services or plan to use them in conjunction with a new workflow or data source. Generally, IDI startup engagements are expected to be completed in under 6 calendar months and to use less than 1 person-month of effort. Beyond this, additional support may be available via standard recharge.
Researchers can apply for an IDI Technical Expertise allocation by submitting a one-page proposal via e-mail to the idi-info@ucsd.edu, with a project name and summary, timeline, list of IDI services to be used, and local technical contacts, if any. Submissions can be made at any time and generally will be reviewed on a weekly basis.
